Project Summary

Chorus sets out to engage young participants in creating an illustrated STEAM book. In collaboration with JSCP Libraries, UCD ALL and Creative Schools along with other networks second-level participants will enhance their creativity and understanding of STEAM through graphic storytelling. Participants embark on a structured programme of dynamic webinar workshops, crafted and led by third-level students, industry experts and educational staff.

Chorus empowers second and third-level students to collaboratively create educational STEAM content for primary school children. The workshops are designed to be highly interactive facilitating deep engagement with STEAM and role models. The programme is tailored to accommodate both group learning in the classroom and individual participation. Workshops are recorded so participation is possible in multiple settings e.g. home, library or other community facilities.

This project is further supported by Gaisce as a Challenge Partner giving further opportunities to participants with an optional Bronze award journey that runs in parallel. Partner’s contributions including resources and expertise, directly enhance the project’s reach and impact, aligning with Chorus’s goals of broad national engagement and educational advancement. During the final phase of the Chorus, participant’s STEAM collection will undergo an editorial review by the STEAM Team. A Chorus Illustrated Book and Activity pack will later be disseminated in print and digital formats across Ireland with a showcase event for Science Week 2026. The project promotes personal growth, strengthens community ties and contributes to the professional growth of Ireland’s youth. Join the Chorus and share your STEAM voice in this collective piece!
