The European Partnership on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (EUP OHAMR), co-funded by the European Commission, unites a network of research funders, scientific institutions, and policy stakeholders across Europe and beyond with a shared mission to advance high-quality research and innovation to combat the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance through a One Health approach. By fostering cross-sectoral collaboration across human, animal, plant, and environmental health domains, the partnership ensures coordinated support for transformative AMR research.
EUP OHAMR is now launching its first Joint Transnational Call (JTC2026) under the theme “OH-TREAT: Treatments and Adherence to Treatment Protocols.” A total of 36 funding organisations across 28 countries are participating in this call with a combined budget of over €28 million.
The call aims to fund multinational innovative research projects which bring together academic, clinical/public health and private research teams, thus strengthening Europe’s coordinated response to AMR across One Health sectors.
Research Ireland, the Health Research Board (HRB), and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) are supporting Irish researchers to participate in this call as part of international consortia.
The call will follow a two-stage process, i.e. a pre-proposal phase followed by an invited full-proposal phase.
