Dr Eoin O'Sullivan, Director of the Centre for Science, Technology & Innovation Policy at the University of Cambridge
Dr Eoin O’Sullivan is the Babbage Fellow of Technology and Innovation Policy at the University of Cambridge and Director of the Centre for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (CSTI) based at the University’s Institute for Manufacturing. CSTI is a multidisciplinary research group made up of scientists, engineers, economists, public policy researchers, and management scholars. CSTI’s research mission is to advance understanding of what makes national research and innovation systems effective at translating new research knowledge into emerging technologies, industrial competitiveness, and solutions to societal challenges.
Eoin works closely with a range of national and international research and innovation agencies and government departments. He was previously a Senior Policy Advisor at Forfás (the former National Policy Advisory Board for Enterprise, Trade, Science, Technology and Innovation) and Special Advisor to the first Director General of Science Foundation Ireland (2001-2006). Eoin has a PhD from the Physics Department of Oxford University.
